“How we started”
In the mid 1990s my father decided to close his construction business and pursue a new direction in the food service industry. After working briefly with a produce wholesaler on South Water Market in Chicago, he ventured into his own produce business specializing in mushrooms. He recruited his wife, friends and of course me, his oldest daughter to help with starting up the business named “golden Eagle Mushroom” and in 1997 started “Eagle Products”. My office was in my dad's garage and he operated the business at a 24 foot wide dock at the market.
Almost 20 years later, what started out as a part time after school job, has blossomed into my career. Please feel free to continue reading the rest of our story.

“An Eagle’s Flight”
In the year 2000 as our knowledge of the industry grew we changed direction and decided to sell strictly to the wholesale market. We purchased slicing machines and began processing the mushrooms we were receiving fresh from Basciani Farms in Pennsylvania. We soon expanded to include a full line of cut vegetables and fruit. Also around this time my brother Tim graduated from school and was immediately recruited into the business. My sister Tara joined the team a few years later.
Eagle Products is still a family owned and operated business. In the early part of 1997 we moved off of South Water Market and into our current facility. A 26,000 square foot building located in what used to be the meat packing district of Chicago. We have renovated the facility and adapted it to accommodate the strict demands of our industry.
Today in addition to a full line of fresh cut to order vegetables and fruit, Eagle Products has developed a line of customized fruit boxes that can be used for corporate gifts and
fund raising projects.
